Registration for Winter 2017 programs occurring January 1 through March 31 will open on January 1 for Nyack School District patrons. Beginning January 15, registration for Winter programs will start for out of district patrons.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten: This program promotes reading to newborns, infants, toddlers, and children up to Kindergarten. The goal is to have read 1000 books before your child starts Kindergarten. Stop by the Children’s Room any time to sign up, get more information, and your first reading record.

Give a Kid a Book:
Throughout October and November, the Children’s Room will collect new, unused books for the Library Association of Rockland County’s Youth Services. Books will be given as gifts to children through local charities during the holidays.
A great big “Thank You” and “Congratulations”
to our patron Isabella Feeney for creating ‘Turn the Pages’ interactive book display as her Gold Award Girl Scout project! Children and Middle Schoolers are invited to borrow and suggest great books using this permanent display in the Children’s Room. Young children will get a prize when they participate, and Middle and High School kids can earn community service. Stop by to learn more!

|Wiggly Worms Family Storytime|
Select Saturdays at 10:30am
Ages 3 and up with adult(s).
Not your traditional storytime! This program lets your little ones discover stories in their own unique style. We’ll explore books and stories through a variety of sensory avenues, including listening to music, playing with story toys, and moving around. Great for wigglers, gigglers, and kids who can groove to their own beat. Please feel free to call with any questions.
